Another even group with an excellent performance from Alterio as the young go-getter in El metodo, the humour of Carell and Ferrell in their respective films,and three wise older men, all in different ways and with different flaws -  Edgar, Caine and Rush.

For his camaleonic performances that vary so much from film to film, Rush gets it this year.  In a way too, it is an award for a daring and fascinating film that blends politics, spies, action and moral issues into a great bug messy whole.  Watch out for Alterio though!
