A rather belated addition thanks to a nice weekend away ;)
Two films seen - one en route and one in the cinema.
I couldn't believe that Alec Baldwin got nominated as Supporting Actor for this film. It is not that he's bad -he's actually perfectly reasonable but I just felt this was such a standard predictable film that it surprised me it even got that far. Here it had a short cinema run and pretty much straight to video. It is quite a watchable movie with the ever interesting William H Macy and Maria Bello but I can't say I thought it anything special. Very Hollywood!

This is Steve Carell, star of the Forty Year Old Virgin. A fun film, better than you would expect. It made me laugh quite a lot and has stars like Catherine Keener and Paul Rudd. Nothing revolutionary but some scenes like the waxing and the speed dating are very well set up.
